The equine veterinarians of British Columbia have hosted an equine seminar for 50 years. Dr. Bob Jack organized the first meeting with the desire to hold quality meetings with exceptional speakers with topics of interest to equine practitioners. The goal has always been to have a seminar in which practitioners could learn and take home useable information to their practices. Dr. John Twidale continued to organize excellent seminars for 24 years. In the last several years we have been affiliated with the Society of British Columbia Veterinarians. (SBCV). This year Dr. David Paton is Chairman of the Equine Committee and Seminar.
Over the years a wide range of topics have been covered including areas of medicine, surgery, lameness, dentistry, dermatology, ophthalmology, imaging reproduction and neonatology to list a few. We have been privileged to have world class speakers as evidenced in the list of past seminars.
The seminar is held over two days and includes 12 CE hours. As well, the seminar registration includes two coffee breaks and lunch each day and a seafood smorgasbord dinner on the first day. There is a small commercial exhibit by the pharmaceutical firms that support the presentation of the program.
We wish to extend our sincere thanks to the Delta Town & Country. We have held our meeting at the Delta Town & Country for many years, however, due to its planned demolition we have relocated to the Coast Langley City Hotel & Convention Centre. We look forward to a successful seminar at the Coast Langley City Hotel & Convention Centre.
